I looked around the neighborhood but then I didn't find her anywhere I tried going other places I still couldn't find her and I hope Sushi will find me.

Hi, Janice Here from Small Dog Place

I am so sorry that your dog is gone. That must be devastating. You are right, she may come back, but in the meantime, there are a few things you can do to find her.

1. Check with all the shelters, humane societies, animal control agencies in your area.
2. Make brochures to place around your neighborhood.
3. Ask all the neighbors to keep a look out for your dog.
4. Check with your local vet hospitals. Sometimes, if people find a stray dog, they may take it to a veterinarian as most vets have a scanner that will check for microchips.

As a reminder to all, dogs need some form of identification whether it is a tattoo, microchip, collar with identification or a rabies tag.

In my opinion, if you are going to purchase identification tags for your dog, put your own name and telephone number on the tag rather than the dog's name. If someone is trying to steal a dog, they are more likely to be successful if they call the dog by name. If you have two or more small dogs, tags with your name can be interchanged and you never have to worry if you are getting the correct tag on the right dog.

I do hope you find your cute dog.
