Does your dog have mobility issues? Then a dog wheelchair may be the best solution. We want you to know that physical limitations are not the end to mobility.
Many dog owners end up euthanizing their dogs which doesn’t have to be. If your dog has degenerative myelopathy you can at least prolong the quality of their life, although there is still no cure.
On the other hand, a condition such as hip dysplasia your dog can still live a very long and active life with a dog wheelchair. These issues can be caused by old age, birth defects, accidents or other disorders that are both physical and also mental health related.
Every breed of dog could end up needing a dog wheelchair due to an injury such as jumping off the bed. There are common breeds of dogs such as a Dachshund that is prone to back problems. A larger breed of dog like a Golden Retriever would be more prone to hip dysplasia, since it is more common in larger dogs.
Dog wheelchairs are used for dogs that have front, rear or both front and rear leg mobility issues.
Most dogs are more prone to rear leg issues and would need a dog wheelchair for back legs.
If your dog does not have full front leg strength then you should get a full support dog wheelchair.
One of the best and patented dog wheelchairs on the market is the SitGo Dog Wheelchair. It allows your dog to go from standing, to sitting or lying with ease. It uses a self-actuating spring tension system.
Your dog can easily take a rest when they want or even use the bathroom because of its design. These dog wheelchairs are built for performance without sacrificing the comfort you would expect for your dog. These dog wheelchairs are designed and tested by a K9 Orthopedic Surgeon.
They are ultra-lightweight, fully adjustable, have convertible support and easy to assemble.
Get your dog active again to live a happier and healthier life!
My name is Brandon Pennington and I am the founder of Performance Dog Wheelchairs. I LOVE all animals, but especially dogs!
I’ve been amazed by how similar dogs are to humans. They get a lot of the same health issues and feel the same emotions that humans do.
I have been around animals my whole life and have always had a dog ever since I was a child. I have had all types of dogs, both big and small. I have also dealt with a lot of heartache with several of my dogs and their health.
I too have dealt with my own health problems. One of those issues is a leg discrepancy which has caused me pain and issues walking ever since I was young.
Dealing with my own physical mobility issue and seeing so many dogs have issues with their mobility, is why I started Performance Dog Wheelchairs. I’m a very active person, but have always struggled with pain and mobility.
I’ve seen so many other dogs deal with similar issues. Performance Dog Wheelchairs and veterinarians want you to help spread the word about our dog wheelchairs.
We want you to know that physical limitations are not the end to mobility. Our purpose is to give others and their dogs the ability to seek new adventures and overcome physical challenges with one of our dog wheelchairs.
